When treatment ends, the attention shifts — and everyone expects you to be back to normal. But you're not there yet. Life After Survivor gives you a dedicated care team for exactly this chapter — the one nobody prepares you for.
I finally felt like someone understood what life after cancer actually looks like — not just the treatment, but everything after.
During treatment, a whole team surrounds you. Then it ends — and your oncologist's focus rightly shifts to patients still in active care. The visits get further apart.
That transition happens at exactly the moment when things still aren't right. Fatigue persists. Brain fog is real. Sleep is disrupted. Strength hasn't returned. Side effects from treatment are still showing up — sometimes ones that weren't there before. And yet everyone around you expects you to be who you were before.
Managing these effects, rebuilding physical and mental health, understanding what's normal and what needs attention — this is real, practical work. It requires guidance, structure, and someone in your corner who understands survivorship specifically. That's what Life After Survivor provides.
"Nobody told me the fatigue and brain fog would still be this bad six months later. I didn't know what was normal, what needed attention, and what I could actually do about it."
"Having a team who could help me make sense of it and rebuild — that changed everything. I wasn't navigating it alone anymore."
cancer survivors report feeling abandoned by the healthcare system once active treatment ends.

Nobody told me the fatigue and brain fog would still be this bad months later. Having a team who helped me understand what was normal and actually rebuild — that changed everything.
I thought I'd feel better the day treatment ended. I didn't. Life After Survivor gave me a real plan for rebuilding my strength and managing what was still going on in my body.
The practical guidance on sleep, nutrition, and getting my energy back was what I needed. Not just someone to talk to — someone who could actually help me rebuild.
Rick Tyler founded Life After Survivor for a deeply personal reason: his wife Holly is a cancer survivor. He lived through the fear, the uncertainty, and the painful gap in support that families face once treatment ends. Holly Tyler is co-founder — bringing her own lived experience of survivorship to every aspect of the program.
With over 20 years in ergonomics and occupational health and more than a decade focused on cancer survivorship, Rick built this program because he couldn't find one that actually addressed what survivors face in the months and years after treatment. Life After Survivor is the program he wished existed.
No. Life After Survivor is a remote care coordination and coaching program — not a clinical treatment service. We work alongside your existing medical team, not instead of them. We help you understand their guidance and turn it into a practical daily plan. For clinical mental health needs, we can connect you with appropriate resources.
Each plan has a defined program window — Orientation is a single session, Foundation runs 30 days, Thrive runs 60 days, and both Premium Care and Concierge run 90 days. Specialist sessions are used flexibly within that window. When the program closes, you have two options: continue with a lighter Maintenance Plan for ongoing check-ins, or re-enroll in a full program.
Family Integration Sessions are facilitated by a licensed social worker and cover communication, role adjustment, caregiver support, and realistic expectation-setting. They are available as an add-on to any plan, and are included as standard in the Concierge plan for up to 2 family members. These are not therapy sessions — they are practical, facilitated conversations.
Yes. Many clients start with Foundation or Thrive and expand their support as they identify new areas to address. Your care coordinator will always be available to discuss adjustments and help you add specialists or move to a higher tier.
A free 30-minute conversation about where you are in your recovery, what's been most challenging, and what you most want your life to look like going forward. If it's a good fit, we'll also walk you through how the Slack channel works — your direct line to your care team between sessions. No commitment required.
Depending on your plan and goals, your support team may include nutrition specialists, wellness coaches, clinical exercise physiologists, telehealth physical therapists, social workers, and ergonomics consultants. Care coordinators may be RNs, experienced case managers, past survivors, or co-founder Holly Tyler. All support is delivered remotely — we do not provide hands-on clinical therapy.
Currently, Life After Survivor primarily serves clients in the United States. However, we can accommodate remote clients internationally for many services. Please contact us to discuss your specific situation and location.
Life After Survivor is not currently covered by insurance as a bundled program. Some services may be separately reimbursable through your health plan, HSA, or FSA. We recommend contacting your insurance provider to explore options. Monthly payment plans are available on all tiers.
A free 30-minute conversation — no commitment, no pressure. Just a real person, ready to listen to where you are and talk through what comes next. Managing side effects, rebuilding your health, and reclaiming your daily life is real, structured work. You shouldn't have to figure it out alone.
